STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. The STEM principles align perfectly with our integrated curriculum and design thinking model and will complement each other in such a way that our students will be able to embrace and access all aspects of the NZ Curriculum, whilst at the same time preparing them to be life long learners.
All of our students will take part in a number of STEM projects throughout the year from our Juniors -through to our Intermediate students.
We are currently in the process of designing our STEM progressions and how this looks for a 5 year old right through to a 12 year old. We are also designing our 2017 projects and in the final stages of finalising our Innovation Hub design - this will be visible on our 'School Design' link.
